Sewer Camera Inspections

A sewer camera inspection lets us see exactly what’s going on inside your pipes without tearing up your walls or floors. It gives a clear picture of the condition of the sewer line. We can spot cracks, cave-ins, or blockages, and tell whether the pipe just needs to be cleaned or if it requires a full replacement.

Because we can see the exact problem, we save homeowners from costly surprises. Instead of guessing and tearing things apart, we pinpoint the issue and recommend the right fix.

The two most common issues we find on camera are cracks and cave-ins in the sewer pipe. The camera we use has a locator, so we know the precise spot of the damage.

Once we find the problem, we either open the wall or cut into the floor right where the issue is located. Then we remove the damaged section and replace it with new pipe. This targeted repair approach minimizes disruption and gets the job done efficiently.

Get a Sewer Camera Inspection Before Buying a Home

We highly recommend a sewer camera inspection for anyone buying an older home, especially those built in the 1970s or earlier.

Older homes often still have original sewer lines made from materials like clay or cast iron. Clay pipes are very old and likely need replacing. Cast iron can develop cracks or let roots grow inside, causing problems down the line. Even if the house has been remodeled, it’s rare that the sewer line has been replaced unless there was a serious issue.

Since plastic pipes started becoming common around the 1970s, that’s a good cutoff point. If the home predates that, a camera inspection can save you from unexpected repair costs and give you peace of mind about the condition of the sewer system.
