We do handle emergency repairs, but only for current customers. We’re not a 24-hour service company. If you call us after hours and you’re already a customer, we’ll usually come out and help you as soon as we can. If you’re not a customer, we’ll get back to you the next day.
Most of our emergencies happen in the winter. The biggest one is no heat or no hot water. Other common emergency calls include showers that drip, leak, or won’t shut off, and blocked fixtures. Those problems tend to be urgent and we prioritize them for our regular customers.
Yes, we do water heater repairs and installations. When it makes sense, we encourage customers to switch to tankless water heaters. They’re more efficient and can save space.
Installing a tankless system usually takes about a day. Sometimes we have to rework some of the piping to fit the new unit properly. We like to keep things neat, so we mount the heater on a painted piece of plywood and run all copper piping cleanly back to it.
If you already have a gas water heater, the swap is pretty straightforward. But if you’re switching from electric or oil to a gas-fired tankless, we usually come the day before to prep the gas line and venting, then complete the install the next day. Our goal is to keep downtime to a minimum.
