Gas Line Installation & Repair

Installing or repairing a gas line isn’t a job for just anyone – it’s serious work that demands experience, proper materials, and a deep understanding of safety codes.

At MVP Plumbing, we bring both the plumbing and the hvac experience to each project to provide safe, high-quality gas line installations and repairs throughout Trumbull and the surrounding areas. From gas stoves and grills to boilers and water heaters, we ensure every job is done right from start to finish.

Common Gas Line Repairs

The most common issues we see with gas lines come down to two things: age and improper installation. Over time, fittings and connections can corrode, especially in older homes. In other cases, we’re called in to fix work that was done by handymen or unlicensed installers – repairs that might look okay on the surface but aren’t safe long term.

Water heaters and boilers are two of the most frequent sources of leaks we find. As they begin to wear down, connections can loosen or fail. That’s why any work involving gas appliances should always include a full inspection of the surrounding gas lines.

Safety & Certification

We don’t cut corners – ever. At MVP Plumbing, we use only high-quality, domestically made steel pipe and fittings for our gas line work. You’ll never find flexible CSST (track pipe) in our installations, even if a customer requests it. It might be allowed by code, but in our experience, steel pipe is the safest, most durable option – and that’s all we install.

We are fully licensed plumbers in the state of Connecticut and adhere strictly to all local safety requirements and codes. When it comes to gas, there’s no room for compromise.

The Risks of Ignoring a Gas Leak

If there’s even a suspicion of a gas leak, the first call you should make is to 911—not us. Once the fire department or utility company has shut the gas off and made the area safe, that’s when we step in. We’ll locate the issue, repair it correctly, and ensure your system is safe to use again.

Ignoring gas line problems can lead to serious consequences, including:

Carbon monoxide poisoning

Explosions

Fires

Serious injury or death

Fortunately, most people take gas seriously—but it only takes one missed connection or a slow-developing leak to create a major hazard.
