Plumbing Fixtures

We work with high-end and specialty fixtures all the time. Wall-mounted toilets, freestanding tubs, smart faucets, and anything else you can think of; we’ve done it. Whether it’s for a remodel, a new build, or just an upgrade, we can handle it.

In Connecticut, many eco-friendly options aren’t just a choice, they’re a requirement. Regulations here are strict. So low-flow toilets, aerated faucets, and other water-efficient features are part of the job. Fortunately, these upgrades not only meet code, they also help reduce water usage and utility bills.

Newer faucets are built with lower gallon-per-minute rates, so they use less water by design. The downside is that sometimes it affects pressure or flow, but that’s part of the tradeoff when it comes to saving water.

Retrofitting Fixtures Into Older Homes
Upgrading fixtures in older homes is something we do all the time. It might take a little more work, especially if the plumbing system wasn’t designed for modern features, but it’s doable in most cases. We’ve installed wall-mounted toilets in houses from the 1950s. It just takes the right approach and a little extra effort to get everything to line up the way it should.
Preferred Brands and Why They Matter

We work with a lot of different brands, but the ones we trust most are Kohler, Moen, and American Standard. They’re American companies, which means parts are easier to find, and most of their components are standardized. If a faucet needs a cartridge, it’s likely to be the same one used across several models. That makes repairs faster and more straightforward.

Another big reason we recommend those brands is their warranty and customer service. Kohler, for example, has a five-year warranty, but we’ve seen them honor it even after ten years. They’ll send replacement parts at no charge, which saves time and money for both the homeowner and the plumber.

Common Fixture Issues
The most common problems we see are dripping or leaking fixtures. That usually comes down to a stem or cartridge that needs to be replaced. Other issues include broken handles or low pressure, and those are handled case by case depending on the situation.
